Fony is a letter font editor in bitmap format. It has support to open or import the following types of letter fonts:



* Windows bitmap fonts(FON, FNT).

* TrueType vector fonts.

* Amiga bitmap fonts.

* BDF bitmap fonts.

* Bitmap Font Writer bitmaps (BFW).



Fony can also generate, save or export the following font formats:



* Windows bitmap fonts(FON, FNT).

* BDF fonts.

* Bitmap Font Writer bitmaps (BFW).

* Personalized bitmaps.



The external aspect of Fony, via its interface, is very similar to most other graphic editors (with specific utilities and functions to control letter fonts). It is like this because it is an editor that only works with bitmap formats. The working panel is in the form of a grille. Each one of the cells in this grille is coloured or not, depending on the shape you want to give your letter.
